The Toddler is still in the phase where she would rather wear costumes than real clothes on any given day. On weekdays when we’re primarily staying home or only doing a few errands, I oblige her and she can be a bumblebee or a princess or whatever suits her fancy. The problem is, though, that Rosie the Puppy is very attracted to tutus and accessories. And, the Toddler doesn’t understand that performing her big dance routine in the foyer or sporting butterfly wings while twirling through the kitchen in a tulle dress is a little too much excitement to expect a 10-week old dog to sit back and observe.
Rosie prefers to be a more active participant in the dance routines.
Likewise, sitting down on the steps and tapping your fanciest shoes elicits a lot of canine attention.
Because who would want to chew on a rawhide bone when you could have a plastic high heel {with a bow on it} instead?
Yesterday while I was taking that picture of the Toddler’s heels I noticed that there were some strange markings all over the steps we just refinished.
Me: Did you color these steps with your markers??!!
The Toddler: No.
Me: Well, why is there marker all over them??
The Toddler: I guess Rosie did it.
Yeah, I guess she opened that box by herself, took a cap off a marker and went to town on the steps. She’s so artistic.
Poor Rosie. She’s naughty, but she’s not that naughty.
She is, however, the perfect scapegoat for someone’s antics.
