Suburban Shalom

seeking peace and purpose from my little neck of the suburbs

The annual visit

We weren’t sure how the annual Santa picture would go down this year. We’ve had something of a dramatic history with him.
And, then there was the year the Preschooler couldn’t even bear to look at him.
This year, though, everyone understands a bit more about how this system works. And, even the Toddler went very willingly {albeit cautiously} onto Santa’s lap. Of course, there is safety in numbers and her big sisters led the way.

Everyone was a little stiff at first, but it didn’t take long for them to warm up. After all, the 1st Grader and the Preschooler had some things to talk to Santa about.
And, apparently, the Toddler did, too.
But, today all she can talk about is the “snowman” that she had her picture made with yesterday.
She just better hope the snowman can ride a sleigh and make Christmas deliveries.
