Suburban Shalom

seeking peace and purpose from my little neck of the suburbs

Tangled

Lately the Toddler has a fascination with locking herself in the bathroom and doing various things in there to amuse herself… playing in the sink, flushing little pieces of toilet paper, going through my make-up bag, making faces in the mirror, etc.

This, though, is the most recent predicament she got herself in while playing in her not-so-secret hideout:

Who knew the Spouse’s comb could be so dangerous? That’s usually not on the list of child hazards. But, honestly, I couldn’t have created a more complicated knot if I had been trying. Of course, the Toddler was BESIDE herself with frustration.

With some careful twisting and turning I managed to remove the comb from her scalp with hardly any damage other than some emotional trauma. I probably won’t be able to go near her with a comb for several days, but maybe she’ll learn her lesson about playing with other people’s toiletries and accessories…
