It seems like it’s been weeks ago now, but our Halloween festivities were low-key this year. Due to certain circumstances {not to mention last year’s homemade poodle skirt fiasco}, this year’s costumes were repeats. The Preschooler was more than happy to be a bee again, and really, a busy bee with boppers on top of her head somehow suits her personality perfectly.
Here we were two years ago {yes, I talked the Spouse into dressing up as a beekeeper. He loves it when I try to incorporate family themes into our holidays}.
And, here is the 2011 version of our busiest bee…
The Toddler, not surprisingly, rejected all of my costume suggestions in favor of an outfit she put together herself from our dress-up bin. Here she is as a Sleeping Beauty princess bride…
When I laughed she mistakingly thought I was laughing at her, and that resulted in a little drama. I just thought it was funny that she insisted on saying “Sugar Treat” instead of “Trick or Treat” all evening. I’m sure it’s hard to live with people who don’t appreciate your creativity.
And, the Baby, who is not yet a fan of wardrobe changes of any sort, dressed up as the Baby…
Hopefully the Spouse enjoyed our laid back Halloween 2011 because I feel certain that next year I’ll be back on my game and ready for another theme.
