Despite our best efforts to be ahead of the game and be all prepared for Daylight Savings this year, we somehow managed to lose one day rather than one hour. So, we’re still recovering from that. Complicating matters is the fact that this week is spring break, which is really a very misleading description of a week in mid-March in which the preschool is closed and all of our normal activities are cancelled. I’m still in search of the “break” part…
Meanwhile, the girls are finding new and exciting ways to entertain themselves using dress-up clothes and their vivid imaginations…
The Kangaroo Climber makes a fine substitute for a castle. (This picture immediately preceded a fight about who was going to go down the slide first. And, the slide will be remembered as the spot where the Toddler first learned that pulling hair is an effective means of self-defense).
Besides dress-up, our next favorite activity right now is playing “school.” I’m not sure whether the Preschooler was supposed to be in costume for her role as lead teacher or if she just found the tutu and light-emitting shoes to be comfortable play wear, but this was her outfit of choice for the afternoon.
This, I was informed, is the “boo-boo bag.” It comes fully stocked with band-aids and accompanies the baby dolls on all their trips to the playground, lunch, story time, etc. In case of a boo-boo, I assume…
(And, if you could see the way the dolls are thrown from the diaper changing area to the stroller and what not, you would understand the need for such a bag).
Here we have nap time preparations being made for one of the babies fortunate enough to get the bed for her nap…
And, finally, this is the Toddler later helping her other babies take a nap, (apparently some had more difficultly falling asleep than others). I only hope that her teacher(s) don’t have to go to such extreme measures with her. Clearly, she has seen a few interventions…
Here’s to hoping you got all sprung forward and your week, whether it’s a break or not, is off to a springy start ~
