It’s always fun to look back at Santa pictures and note how much has changed from year to year. From panic to paralysis, Mr. Claus brings out so many emotions in us all.
2008 ~ The year of the meltdown
The newborn was unaware of what was going on; the toddler was well aware she had been abandoned on a stranger’s lap.
2009 ~ The year of another meltdown
The newborn was no longer new and no longer unaware of what was going on here.
2010 ~ The year of keeping oneself at a safe distance
2011 ~ The year of the Coke
This is the year we went to the Bass Pro Shop on a busy night. Santa had a low blood sugar incident of some sort just before it was our turn to visit with him. He was sweating, put his head in his hands for a few moments, and even had an elf bring him a Coke. Truly, it would have made for a perfect commercial. {Santa nearly passes out. Santa drinks a cold Coke. Christmas is saved}. Santa disappeared for a few minutes into his “workshop” to fully recover, but later returned looking like he was feeling much better. We were all so relieved. But, by the time he returned the Preschooler {who was a newborn at the time} had fallen asleep and the 1st Grader was over it. Not that you can tell by her expression.
2012 ~ The year of talking big about Santa until we actually met him
Seeing him and trying to play it cool…
Getting closer and getting excited…
Freaking out…
2013 ~ The year of the paralysis
We think the Preschooler went into some sort of shock here.
2014 ~ I seem to have misplaced this year…
2015 ~ The year of the belly laugh
The first year everyone has smiled and/or cackled all the way through our visit
