Well, the obsession with getting a pet continues. We’re holding our ground and not caving on this one anytime soon, but it’s almost pitiful how obsessed the Kindergartener has become with her stand-in dog.
Apparently he has poor vision. She says the glasses help him see the TV better. Of course, she also says they help her read better despite the fact that they have fake lenses.
I’m relieved that this dog doesn’t have much of an appetite. I don’t mind him lounging around the den and kitchen all day so long as he doesn’t make messes or consume real food.
Ever persistent in her pursuits, I discovered this note the Kindergartener wrote to us, her family. I think maybe she’s trying to butter us up a little.
I’ll translate:
To my family.
I love my family.
But I want to say more than that.
I also want to say that I love being with you.
So sweet. And slightly melodramatic. My favorite part is “but I want to say more than that.” She always does.
Unfortunately, the Toddler has become an occasional victim of her big sister’s insatiable desire to take care of something or someone. I unwisely left the older two girls “in charge” while I ran upstairs for a matter of minutes the other day and came back down to discover someone had been strapped into the baby doll stroller against her will.
I tried to explain to her that resistance is futile. She’ll just have to continuously outsmart the bigger two to thwart their shenanigans.
And, I think she’s totally up for the task.

This is so sweet and funny, especially since I only have stinky boys!
