Suburban Shalom

seeking peace and purpose from my little neck of the suburbs

Making over Mimi…

There are few things more exciting to the girls than the opportunity to work their styling magic on a cooperative “client.” So, when my mom was in a particularly laid back mood the other evening, they took full advantage. And, Mimi’s transformation began.

The Preschooler’s specialty is straightening and aggressive detangling, while the Toddler focuses more on blow-drying and her signature teasing technique {neither of which are pleasant for those with a sensitive head}…

At this point, the enthusiasm on the client’s face was almost palpable. But, things took a more exciting turn when the Toddler began her work on the highlights…

You know you’re going to get your money’s worth on your color job when your stylist {and you, the client} need to wear protective glasses. Apparently, Mimi requested a very bright blonde for her color.

And, this is the point where I’d like to place the “after” picture of the transformation. But, strangely, Mimi forbid it to be publicly displayed on the world wide web. Some people are so modest…
