I’ve heard people speak of “ladies who lunch” in reference to women who regularly go out to cafes, tea rooms, and other such eateries for leisurely lunches together. I imagine those are fun.
But, here at our place, we have another type of ladies lunch going on every day around noon. Only our lunches are best held in the privacy of our home so as not to disturb {or splatter} other diners. Right now we are working on keeping our hands out of our food, and it is not going well.
I thought I could outsmart her by introducing another spoon for her free {and very busy} hand.
And, that worked for about a minute.
But, I think back to a few years ago, and this is not the first time one of my “lady” lunch friends has had tactile issues at mealtime. In fact, the Preschooler might possibly have been worse. It’s hard to say.
Really, I think the Kindergartener has always been the easiest one to feed.
It’s not that I don’t enjoy lunch. It’s just that the youngest person I eat with enjoys it way too much.
Don’t let her game face fool you. She’s just warming up.
So, should you see us in a restaurant, take cover or run.
No one will be offended… or smacked in the head with a flying spoon.
