One of the things I most enjoy about being a mom is that no two days are ever alike. Sure, many days are challenging and long, but they are never ever boring.
This week the 1st Grader made me a special book in celebration of Mother’s Day. My favorite part is that it has a “Tiddle,” or as some people call it, a “title.” I also like that she talked about how I help her with her “shawer” every night. She likes to put an East Tennessee spin on her spelling.
Also this week… the Toddler has been singing a new song. She especially likes to sing to herself when she’s playing or working on a project. And, lately, we can identify the tune and sometimes even make out all the lyrics. One of her current favorites is “Jesus Loves Me.” Only her version has some questionable theology:
If there’s one word she might be overly familiar with it’s the word “No!” So, I hate that she thinks even the Bible tells her “No!” I’ll have to correct that misunderstanding one of these days. But, for now I cannot take the word “no” out of my vocabulary where she and her mischief are concerned.
This weekend and always, I sure am thankful for the entertainment, the joy, and even all the drama this trio brings to my life.

Such a sweet trio!
Your stories remind me when my son wrote, "My Mom is phony" – he meant, "FUNNY."
Hahaha!
