She spent most of her ten minutes outside concerned about her mittens and repeating that the snow was “a big mess.” And, really, who can argue that point?
We were able to make a tabletop snowman, of sorts. Hopefully we’ll see a little more snow this winter and work up to making a full size snowman in the yard. But, this was a good start.
Thanksgiving day was full of family and food and lots of fun. And, I think these three turkeys enjoyed every minute of it. They have that “the more the merrier” mentality, and they seem to love having a houseful of people here. As if they don’t have enough natural energy, they derive a little more from a crowd.
On Friday we began the daunting task of decorating with the Toddler. She immediately found a hat that suits her well. If I could find her some pointy shoes, she would make a fine elf.
We had plenty of “helping” hands getting ornaments on the tree. Of course, the Toddler has since then spent much of her free time removing ornaments from the bottom two feet of the tree. Last year it worked well to close the French doors on this room so we could all just admire the tree from a safe distance, behind glass. But, this year everyone knows how to open doors. So, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that the tree will be pretty from a distance {like say, from the road} and… interesting up close.
Since that night the Toddler has told everyone who will listen that she rode a “horsey.”
