Suburban Shalom

seeking peace and purpose from my little neck of the suburbs

A hair-raising good time…

The week before Christmas the Spouse was giving the girls a bath when he created this masterpiece:

He was understandably so proud.  And, really, I think this set the tone for our Christmas this year.  We had some high expectations for fun.
Though we’re still celebrating with family this week, here are just a few of my favorite pictures so far:
Poor Daisy Duck.  She stood no chance with that poor choice of a seat.  I realize trampolines may not be among the safest toys around.  But my theory is this:  they’re going to jump on something, (be it the couch, the table, or… heaven forbid, the banister), so why not make it something specifically designed for that purpose… complete with padding and a handle bar?  We’ll see if this reasoning proves wise…
As you can tell, Toddler 2 has an affinity for the fancy.
Unfortunately, a cape can be an impediment to your breathing after awhile.  It’s just one of those lessons every princess learns the hard way.
Also a fan of the fancy… and the belief that tutus and crowns are a lot like good books… one can never have too many.

After all the jumping and the wardrobe changes, one can find herself in need of a mid-morning respite.  Christmas can be exhausting.  But, it’s oh so fun.
Hoping your celebrations were warm and merry…
