This week the girls have been telling me that they want to “get their dance on,” meaning they want to get their dance {or other dress-up} clothes on and jump around to the tune of “Holiday” as sung by our Old Navy penguin…
I’m pretty sure this is not something I ever wanted to do at their age, but I can appreciate their enthusiasm for it anyway. At least it expends some energy.
The Toddler, though, is known for overestimating both her size and her dancing abilities. And, unfortunately, this usually results in some sort of dancing injury. Many times equipment malfunction in the way of her shoes is the culprit. And, so she has to think about the seriousness of her injury…
I would have some pictures of the Preschooler’s dance outfit on here, too, but she’s going through a “less is more” phase right now and prefers to dance in only her Minnie Mouse panties. Here’s a nice shot of her dancing feet…
Again, we are risk takers with our dancing footwear. It wouldn’t be any fun if it wasn’t just a little bit dangerous.
Oh, to have their free-spirited enthusiasm for the little things…
