I’m in a season where I’m at home more than ever. So, maybe it’s because I see our walls quite a bit, but one of the ways I entertain myself is by creating things to put on them. I’m not much of an artist with a paintbrush, but I’m grateful for the way technology makes it possible to take ideas and inspirations and turn them into tangible pieces of “art” with the right accessories {mats and frames and such}. I especially like being able to take words and phrases and put them in places around the house where I’m sure to see them throughout the day, and where it’s easy to change them out for the season or the mood. {I think the Spouse is still hoping I’ll plaster the word “COOK” somewhere in our kitchen as a subtle reminder}.
There are all sorts of great prints on websites like etsy, but sometimes they can get expensive. So, I thought I’d make a few myself to use in various ways.
These may be too modern or otherwise not your style. But, if you’re feeling a little artsy and know anyone on your Christmas gift list who might be encouraged by one of these prints, please feel free to download it, print it off {optional: have Kinko’s print it on linen paper}, mat it, and frame it up! These are sized to 8×10, but they would work as 5×7, too. And, pretty much all the time, Hobby Lobby, A.C. Moore, and Michael’s have good frames at great prices.
