Every year about this time I sort of re-evaluate what I’m doing with this blog… why I have one, what I write about, etc. And, as I glance back over some of the posts from the past year it occurs to me {again} that I have no theme whatsoever, unless “random” is a theme. I’m not sharing craft ideas, design inspirations, or recipes. I’m not a devotional writer or a humorist. I don’t have advice to offer on fashion or food or the latest in entertainment. I don’t fit into any categories. I’m just a mom with a blog about my life.
But, this year instead of feeling frustrated by my lack of clarity and purpose in writing, I’m going to start the year off by being grateful for it. I’m thankful for all that is ordinary. I even want to embrace the fact that my ramblings are random. Because when I can see through some of my desires to feel all organized and successful and accomplished, I realize that I really am happy to be right where life has me… here in a place where the vast majority of my content is simple storytelling about life with the Spouse and the three young {and wildly energetic} girls we are trying to raise. It may not be impressive, but this is who I am and what we do. And, I’m glad to be our storyteller.
So, in typical random fashion, here are a few pictures of the Baby. She has a love-hate relationship withe her baby dolls.
