This past weekend was the second annual Daddy-Daughter dance for the {two big} girls, and they could hardly wait to get primped for the occasion. Despite the fact that their mother is tons o’ fun, they still covet their dad’s attention.
Last year the Preschooler’s primary focus was on the refreshments, but this year I hear she enjoyed both the thumbprint cookies AND the dancing. We’re making big strides, I tell you.
The Kindergartener always insists on a few “crazy” pictures, as she calls them. These are her specialty. And, these were before the 3 and 1/2 glasses of punch she so proudly consumed. Energy levels were a bit high.
Not to be left out of the pre-dance photo shoot, the Baby demanded a picture of her own with Daddy.
Notice the ballet shoes on her shirt. I think this was her way of hinting that she’s also interested in dancing, and would appreciate an invitation next year. The Spouse, though, has imposed a minimum height requirement and refuses to take girls who wear diapers and/or run away from him in crowded settings. So, she has a few areas we’re going to need to work on to ensure a 2014 invite…
