I am grateful to be writing this post from the sandy shores of South Carolina this week. One of the beauties of being at the beach is that the days of the week don’t much matter here. I forgot it was even Monday. So far, the weather here has been unusually cool for May, but I’ll take “cool and on vacation” any day over “cool and at home.”
The girls have been enjoying the freedom to just play as much as anything. Since the water has been cold, we’ve been biking and enjoying some other leisure activities, like “golfing” on the miniature green set up nearby…
The Preschooler is working on her form…
I will be of no help in this matter.
Meanwhile, the Toddler has learned that it’s lots of fun to make the Preschooler mad by removing all the markers from the holes.
Somehow I knew that golf might be a frustrating sport for the Toddler…
I think many others can relate. {This photo preceded her throwing her golf balls off the green. You can imagine how well she responded to her Daddy’s rebuke}.
After our golf practice each morning, we’ve been heading to the playground. Between the tree house and the many climbing apparatuses, the Preschooler loves it and could be entertained there for hours.
The Toddler, though, can’t get past the fact that it’s a sand playground.
So, she spends the majority of her time there fretting over any particles that may have gotten into her shoes.
And, plotting her escape…
Fortunately, she doesn’t quite fit through the posts.
Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit as the week goes on, but regardless, it’s good to be together, and it’s good to be here.
