Bouncing off the walls and other things…

Day one was entertaining. We went sledding and built a snowman. We drank hot “warm” chocolate. We ate chili and made cookies. We did snow day things, and enjoyed the beauty of the wintry landscape and the respite of a peaceful day at home.

Day two was a little inconvenient, but we managed to make the most of it. We did everything we normally do for entertainment (when confined to the house) that we didn’t do on Monday. We did play-doh. We built towers with blocks. We dressed up and danced. We read a few books, and we drew a few pictures. We watched many a cartoon.  And, we survived.

We are now on day three, which can only be described as intense. Our continuous togetherness is beginning to cause some mild insanity.

I have, therefore, seized one of the girls’ Christmas presents and taken up a new form of stress-relieving exercise known as… rebounding.

Yes, the mini-trampoline may just save the day. At the very least, it should build some muscle in my lower legs. Given the powerful combination of my excess energy and stir-crazed frustrations, I’m just not sure our 9-foot ceilings are high enough for my bounce.

If winter continues at this pace, I should have the calves of a track star and the vertical jump of an NBA player by early spring 😉
