This week was the official start of “school” for the younger two. And, they couldn’t have been more ready!
First day of Pre-K…
The Preschooler walked right in like she owns the place. I can’t believe how much she’s grown up since she walked in for her first day there three years ago!
And, it was also the first day of the wild one’s Toddler Class this week:
She was ready to scrub in and get to work…
After all, there were dolls that needed her attention. {As a side note… I don’t typically use the one-handed throw to get her in her stroller. That approach is all her own.}
I hope her sweet teachers are ready for her energy. I may need to start packing a couple of Red Bulls in her lunch box just for them. I know I could benefit from a few every afternoon.
And, speaking of teachers… This is the conversation I had in the car line at school when I was picking the First Grader up yesterday.
1st Grade Teacher {excitedly}: When are you going to bring the new puppies in?
Me: What puppies?
1st Grade Teacher: Your new puppies she keeps telling us about! I want you to bring them by!
Me: Well, you see, we don’t have any puppies.
1st Grade Teacher: Oh, well she’s told me all about them. In fact, she told me that she tried to pick one of the puppies up this morning and the mama puppy growled at her.
Me: I have no idea…
As it turns out, we do have puppies. Three of them to be exact. And, there is a mama puppy. Her name is Bella. It’s just that she omitted one important detail about our furry friends…
Yeah, they’re stuffed.
I’m a bit worried about these stories, but I suppose I should be happy she has such a vivid imagination. I’m also happy to bring the puppies by the school any day for anyone who cares to pet them.
