Whenever I pick the girls up from school or church or after a sport or activity they’ve been participating in, I have a habit of asking them, “What did you learn today?” I’m sure the question annoys them at times, but when they feel like they’ve really learned something new or special, they’re always so excited to beat me to the punch by exclaiming, “Guess what I learned today?!”
And, so it was on Sunday when I picked the Kindergartener up from her class at church.
The Kindergartener: Guess what I learned today?!
Me: What? Tell me.
The Kindergartener: That God made Adam and Eve. And he made females and emails.
Me: Oh, yeah? And, what are you?
The Kindergartener: I’m a female.
Me: And, what is Daddy?
The Kindergartener: He’s an email. He’s the only email in our whole family!
The poor Spouse. I imagine it’s tough to be the lone email around here. He really needs a man cave. Then he can invite other emails over to do email things… like watch football and play pool… or whatever emails do when they get together.
