My name is Hollie, and I started this blog in 2010 as a way to stay sane while keeping up with two busy toddlers. I never imagined I’d still be writing here another daughter and this many years later. But, I love the way this space helps me document the stories that make up our days and keeps me connected to people who have been and continue to be a part of our story.
Before I had children I worked in medical marketing and was paid to write biographies for physicians. Ironically, I find it near impossible to write my own. So in place of a detailed life history I’ll simply share a few of my favorite things: dark chocolate, bike rides, reading, living in the South, and family vacations. Since meeting my husband on a blind date in graduate school, I’ve also developed a deeper appreciation for good coffee and college football.
My hope is this tiny corner of the internet will be a place of encouragement and community and these snippets and stories will be a source of light, laughter, or reflection for you and me both as we look for ways to bring shalom {peace & wholeness} to our suburbs, cities, and homesteads.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
