Last year about this time I posted a link to a little book of Bible verses for kids that I put together to help anyone who, like us, might be looking for ways to put tiny seeds of God’s truth into the heads and hearts of our children in ways they can remember. A year later, I’m still hoping that the truth of these verses is far more lasting in their minds than anything I say and do because I mess that up all the livelong day.
I wanted to put together another little book this year that has short blessings the girls have learned at preschool and church. So, the blessings are short and the book is short. Very short.
But, before I share the link I have an optional closing for you to consider.
We realized this week that instead of closing her prayers with the standard, “Amen,” the Toddler is actually saying, “Aww, man!” Apparently that’s how she hears it, and in her mind it all makes sense. It’s as if she’s disappointed that the prayer is over… “Aww, man!” It goes something like this:
So, whether you prefer to close your prayers with an “Amen” or an “Aww, man!”… here’s a little book of four short mealtime blessings and a bedtime prayer.
